One fine day it all got over,
And never started again.
I was numb and smiled through it,
Inside hid eternal pain.
Nothing of my heart was known,
To anyone who knew me.
Not even the closest of my love,
Far were the joys and the glee.
I don't know how it happened,
And why it did, Suddenly!
I had learned to give up on things,
And move on happily.
She was no special at all,
Or hell! She was the one.
My dreams had reached the lost land,
And lived there for none.
They never came back,
And I asked them not to.
That not every time it was me,
Seldom was YOU!
My wait was Neverending,
A man in love after all.
Miles away lied souls, still,
All I expected was a single call.
I got back to the sun and the moon,
And the daisies and the cafe.
But it wasn't a good sight to watch,
A dead man walk a whole Bay.
Poems and cards and flowers, dry.
Coffee, ink and black little sky.
Suddenly rang the phone and I smiled.
Picked it up crying and you said, "HI!"
You wouldn't believe, how beautiful
The world was in a second.
I was packed and prepped,
To see you again.
